So…if you had ears and were alive in the 90s, you likely heard one of Sweet Water’s hits on the radio. They were one of my favorite bands of that era for sure and they’re still all over my playlists today. We’re crazy stoked to get to share the stage with both them AND Stereo Embers from Seattle, this summer at Dante’s.
Purusa will open the show so get there early!

We’re honored to be a small part of Portland History with this event coming up! Sans Bar is a sober bar out of Austin, TX dedicated to fostering meaningful connection with folks, sans booze. This pop-up event in Portland is part of its 2019 national tour, and the event will support the LGBTQ community by benefiting Portland's Q Center.
Three of the four members of Purusa are sober, so this event means something special to us. Also - 1) This will be our first show with new bassist Dave Boyle and, 2) we’re doing this one full band acoustic, which we rarely do. If you’ve ever thought “man, I like this band, but they’re so F-Ing LOUD!” - then this is your show. Our tunes will be stripped down and quieter, a la Def Leppard VH1 Story Tellers. Yup, I just did that.

Zach and Andrew participated in this last year and it was a great night that we were honored to be a part of. We'll be back this year with a couple of songs, maybe full band, maybe duos, we'll see! Come celebrate the music of CC with us, one of the most powerful influences on all of us in Purusa.
So much crab, so much seafood, so much wine, so much Kris. Kris will be playing a solo acoustic performance on the Exhibit Hall Stage from 5:30-7:45pm on Saturday night, April 28th (if he has not already been hospitalized for excess crab and wine inhalation). Our buddie's, Mbrascatu, are playing a set earlier in the day on the same stage, so get there early to check them out for sure.
Hope to see you there!

It's divey, it's loud, the food is freaking delicious, it's perfect. We love a sweaty small stage show at Slims. This is a great place and a favorite in St. Johns. Make sure you come with an appetite cuz you don't want to miss the eats here. We go on at 11pm, just after Echopurr, and will play until we're thrown out.
